Words cannot express the human tragedy and suffering that's happening in Japan. Compounded with the nuclear power plant issues, the situation is dire. However, there is a possibility this may help Japan in the long run.

In times of troubles, there's great opportunities. Japan is at it's lowest point since WW2 and is going to need MASSIVE amount of help in the form of labor, food, water, infrastructure, etc. This can force a more open-minded policy change for government officials as well.

It may take a 5 years, a decade to rebuild....but they will.

For anyone who wants to learn about managing chaos, look no further than Charles Komanoff. He created a model for New York city traffic -- specifically how to reduce congestion.

His BTA (Balanced Transportation Analyzer) breaks down every aspect of NYC traffic that can be measured; from public transit revenue, toll costs, noise pollution, time of day, and so much more.

The BTA model has gained worldwide attention (China, Paris, etc)
Imagine if you were able to create a usable model your entire company on a single spreadsheet? Wouldn't that help your bottom line?

The BTA spreadsheet can be downloaded for free on link below.

The whole point of Congress is to avoid giving power to any one person.

In one picture, this doesn't seem to add up.

When power is given to one person, he/she is usually able to make changes faster. So, which direction are we heading?

The energy race is on. Organizations are looking to relieve their dependence on oil and seek alternative means to power up their homes.

This is a breakthrough step from MIT using only water and sunlight. Cool stuff coming out way soon!

Cyber Warfare Vision Will Change the Internet (for far worse)

The biggest threats on the internet is not likely coming from other countries that are hacking the U.S. infrastructure. Like the recent Google-China fiasco
It could very well be Michael McConnell, the former director of national intelligence. He believes we need to 're-engineer' the internet to allow government to track people far more easily with the help of NSA.
The NSA has claims it doesn't spy on Americans. However, they have a terrible track record for upholding the law.
There's a fear mongering campaign going on now to gain government control over the internet. The question is, will the government prevail or will the citizens stand up?

Have you been Brainwashed?

Schools have brainwashed us that we need to "get in line" and pay our dues in the curriculum when we are finished with college.
Why? The Powers-that-be want to have an abundant supply of labor for their "mega companies". Except now that there isn't enough "work" to go around for all of us.
It's time for a change...you don't need to wait in line, nor do you have to follow an archaic system. Create value yourself, publish it and connect with others. Create and distribute as much value you can and your future is set.

A machine that prints organs is coming to market

This is crazy! Soon, we are going to be able to print blood vessels, kidneys, hearts!.

They already used this to make bladders for 7 patients in 2006, and they are still working.

This technology has the capability to dramatically alter the medical landscape, especially for those who are waiting for organ donors.

In case you were wondering, each one of these "printers" cost about $200,000. Seems like a solid value to me.

The Real Roots of Crisis in America

America use to mean something to people around the world. Something deeper than just a country. Has America "lost it's way"?

This may be the real reason why. I don't believe it will mean "doom and gloom". It's just that the "American" standard may decline a bit. It happened to the British Empire, the Romans, the Persians, etc

Once you understand the root cause, you can work on the solution. (unless you're a competitor, where you will try to exploit the situation of course).

However if America keeps on this path, there may be some changes for those who don't act.
